Rebekah & Mark got married on a day that was supposed to be very rainy. So after their first look, we tried hard to get all the portraits done before the sky opened up. Everything turned out amazingly! Aside from the fact that we were shooting at the historic and beautiful Valley Forge, we got through all the portraits, and just as we were finishing up, it started sprinkling. The reception was at a Pennsylvania favorite restaurant, Shady Maple, and Rebekah & Mark shared a special and yummy dinner with their guests before heading to their honeymoon as husband and wife. So glad I got to shoot this wedding with Christa Rene Photography this summer! Enjoy more pictures from their wedding day!
Rebekah shared a sweet first look with her dad and brother before she had her first look with her future hubby!
I definitely teared up during this emotional first look too.
Jess and Mark met in college when mutual friends wanted to introduce them. Jess was hesitant to jump into a relationship at first, but after the two met, well, as they say, "the rest is history." It was so exciting getting a message from Mark asking me about an engagement session because we graduated high school together back in the day! I have good memories of Mark in our quirky German class, so it was good catching up and meeting his pretty fiance! These two go together so well, and I had the best time spending the morning taking their engagement portraits in Downtown Greenville right before a hurricane was about to hit our area. You would have never guessed it, though, by the pretty weather we were having! And we even got a little bit of Fall peeping through in the leaves. Enjoy more of these two as you scroll!
Annie & Luke started dating in middle school. When I walked into the bridal suite she had a few letters Luke had written her plus a valentine he'd given her in 8th grade. And their love is enough to make you believe in fairytales. Now, 8 years later and in their final year of college together, they've tied the knot! And it was the best day ever!! Everything from their wedding venue being Annie's completely stunning family estate on their gorgeous property to their incredibly beautiful color palette, I was in heaven all day long. I really lucked out when Paige Victoria Photography reached out to ask me to shoot this wedding with her! There were so many things about this day that I envisioned for my ideal wedding, and it was amazing seeing it come to life. Not to mention, these two honeymooned in Hawaii complete with an airbnb treehouse! I know you're gonna love this post, and I'm sure you won't mind it being a little longer than normal because it was just SO hard to pick favorites. Congrats Annie & Luke!
Just the sweetest daddy/daughter first look in their gorgeous home!
Annie & Luke shared communion together after they exchanged vows, and it was so special. While Annie was praying over them, she got a little choked up, but Luke quickly put his arm around her, and it was one of my favorite, beautiful but simple moments of the day.
The boys wanted to throw Annie in the air after the ceremony. It was a little nerve-wracking, but mostly fun! :)
And if the family property wasn't amazing and stunning enough, they had the cutest lake that made for the perfect backdrop for Annie & Luke's just married portraits!
And on top of all the perfection that was this wedding day, we got to take Annie & Luke out for sunset portraits in the field! All the heart eyes for these two!
Gosh, you guys! Jordan and Trey are that couple that you KNOW are in love. Every. Single. Time. Without fail, whenever I would ask Jordon to look at her sweet fiance, there was an unmistakable grin that spread over her face so effortlessly. She just couldn't contain it, and it was the sweetest thing to witness. Before the session, Jordon sent me a couple dress links to look at her options for session outfits. I opened up this blue midi dress's link, and I was smitten and immediately thought, "Omg! I need to buy this for me!!" I just knew from seeing those dresses that this was going to be one very pretty session. And I was right! And the Rock Quarry Garden in Downtown Greenville, SC was the perfect backdrop! Enjoy more of this sweet, sweet couple as you soak up this relaxing Sunday afternoon.
The Big Apple! I've been here multiple times before ever since I was little, but this time was different. This time I visited a friend for a few days who works in Times Square, and since it was during the week, I had a good bit of time to bounce around the city by myself! Being a girl from a smaller town in South Carolina, I was a little intimidated by the thought of walking around big, bad New York City all by my lonesome. And yes, I'm 23 years old and very well-traveled, but I still get a little nervous especially in such a big city! But I'm here to tell you, I made it! And it was totally not intimdating at all. In fact, it was invigorating. Having no one with you, really opens up all your senses to the world around you because you aren't relying on someone else to lead you around. This helped me experience NYC in a whole new way that I never had before. Everything is so vibrant and fast-paced. Immediately stepping out of the train station and into the city, I was hit with a rush of city life, and the vibe was phenomenal and invigorating. Don't get me wrong, I love my little city and would not be interested in moving to NYC full time, but it was so fun to visit, and, in case you're planning a trip up there soon, I thought I'd condense it into a blog post for you to enjoy! So, here's how I spent my days with a few tricks of the trade mixed in along with pictures from my trip!
Enjoy this video with some highlights from my short but sweet trip to the Big Apple! And if you're headed there soon, I hope it's an amazing trip!
I love travel and adventure. I love seeing things from new perspectives. I love to find good food in exciting places. And I love making moments last for as long as possible.
