Dean's is the first sunrise session I have had this season, and the light could not have been more perfect. Dean and his mom were such troopers waking up so early, and it definitely paid off. The only hiccup was that we had not planned for the streets of downtown Greenville to be lined with huge white tents for Fall for Greenville which was happening that weekend. Luckily, we were early enough that we were way ahead of the crowds and secured some excellent parking spots. Also, who knew that downtwon was runner central in the wee hours of the morning?! There were so many fit individuals out and running as I was barely making it through an early morning foggy brain. Talk about some tough competition! I know you'll enjoy Dean's sharp senior portraits.
How awesome are Dean's Mona Lisa socks?!
I really loved shooting this wedding with Siobhan Lorraine last month. Everything about it was so perfect from the table settings to the beautiful venue, Morning Glory Farm in Monroe, NC. But possibly my absolute favorite part of the day was when we snuck away from the reception for a few quick minutes to grab some shots of Cameron and Seth with the GORGEOUS sunset. Let me tell you...they were perfect! The light, the love, everything was a dream, and I am so excited to share some of my favorite details of the day plus their sunset portraits on the blog today. Happy Sunday, friends!
I had so much fun taking photos for Joslyn and her friends before their Junior-Senior banquet earlier this year, so it made me really happy when Joslyn reached out to me again for her senior portraits! The leaves on the trees are really starting to show their color now, and it made this session so perfect. Also, photographers, if you are looking for a really versatile and beautiful location for a session, Furman is the place to go. There's the lake, lots of brick steps, a cool gazebo and swings, and we were pleasantly surprised to find the roses in the Rose Garden in full bloom! Enjoy!
Maddie's got an adventurous spirit, and I was really excited when she asked what I thought about traveling up to Pisgah for her senior portraits. This is farthest I have ever been for a portrait session, but, let me tell you, it was well worth the two-hour drive. It was a beautiful Fall day with the temperature cool and just right. Even thought the sky wasn't clear, we were really happy with the beautiful clouds that added to the cozy mood. I'm so excited with how these turned out! Can't wait for you to see them!
Working with Katherine from Auric Photography for this beach wedding was a DREAM! This beach was close to Myrtle, but not as populated which made it so perfect and intimate. I loved all the details of the day and the fact that we ended with sunset portraits on the shore. I am a sucker for the beach, so this was a dream for me! Enjoy!
About this time last year, I met Megan and Christian for the first time. I walked up to a cookout where the small group I had signed up for was grilling burgers and hot dogs. Nobody knew me, and I didn't know anyone. Megan was one of the group leaders and I remember her warm smile and winsome personality right from the start, and it's one of the reasons I kept coming back to Bible study every Wednesday night. Now it's one year later, and the people in that group have become some of my closest friends as we have grown together in the Lord. It goes without saying, I was ecstatic when Christian contacted me about capturing his proposal to Megan. I got even more excited when he told me he planned to take her to the rowing docks on the lake to pop the question. Enjoy these portraits of two of the sweetest people in love.
The first day of October sure brought the Fall weather with it, and it's gotten me so excited for this season. I love the cool, crisp air and the changing colors of the leaves on the trees. Plus, Fall is the perfect time for portrait season, and Laihana's senior session was the perfect start to it! She has a genuine spark and love for life, and I definitely think it shines through in her portraits. I'm in love with the warm colors and pretty style choices in this barn and field shoot. And scroll to end to see the fun note we ended on! Go Warriors!
Thank you to Jenna Grace for the hair and makeup design!
