Welcome to the blog

I met Elise last semester in my small group, and I’m so glad that I did! She has this genuine spirit that is such a joy to be around! I was so glad for the opportunity to photograph her classic style and be able to share it with you on the blog!
Classic staples, like Elise’s solid teal dress, are must-haves for any spring wardrobe. When you focus on building your look around timeless pieces like solids and classic fits and prints, you’re always going to be in style. No matter what the current trends are or become, classic is always a safe, go-to look.
More and more, it’s becoming the norm to get simpler and simpler with everything in our modern world, and it’s no different when it comes to fashion. That’s why statement necklaces or simple ones like Elise’s golden bicycle pendant really completes a look that is simple yet can have a dimension of excitement!
When it comes to shoes, it’s important to be comfortable, and since solid flats are always in style, it’s easy to master comfort when you are going classic. But remember, classic isn’t synonymous with matchy-matchy. Not everything in your outfit has to “go together.” As long as the parts of the outfit contribute to the whole, (like Elise’s choice of tan flats with her teal dress) you’re in good shape.
Another thing that’s really awesome about the classic look is that it is very versatile. Elise is a little more dressed up for maybe a downtown lunch date, but this outfit could easily be dressed down with a pair of sandals and less bling or dressed up even more with a blazer and hair tied back for a flawless look appropriate for the workplace.
